PANJIM: The Chief Electoral Office (CEO) on Sunday held special camps across all the polling stations covering 40 assembly constituencies for enrolment and correction of the electoral roll as part of its special summary revision, which is underway.
For filing the fresh claims, the draft electoral roll would be kept open till October 10, during which people can submit their claims and objections for addition and deletion of their names.
On Sunday, BLOs were deputed at various polling stations to hold special camps for those who wants to get themselves enrolled as voter or for deletion of names or correction in the existing electoral roll. However the special camps did not received good response.
The special summary revision of photo electoral rolls is in process with reference to January 1, 2018 as qualifying date.
January 8, 2018 will be the final publication date of the updated database.
As per the electoral roll published in January this year 11.10 lakh voters are eligible to vote in the State.
