Speed breakers blamed for mishaps at Sattari

Speed breakers erected in form of rumblers on the Valpoi-Panjim highway, opposite ACGL (bus body division) at Bhuipal-Sattari, have been posing danger to the motorists.
Some motorists claim that speed breakers are not designed properly, which have led to a number of mishaps at the site.
“Scooter and motorcycle riders struggle to cross these rumblers. The road does not even have streetlights and only those who frequently use the roads will know where the speed breakers are, otherwise we regularly hear the sound of motorists applying brake vigorously,” said another resident.
Motorists and residents have urged the concerned authority to verify the speed breaker and monitor the situation of motorists struggling to cross over these rumblers for necessary action in the interest of general public.
