PANJIM: Former Chief Minister and Poriem MLA Pratapsingh Rane has dropped enough hints that he will contest the ensuing Assembly elections for a record 12th time.
When asked whether he will contest the upcoming Assembly elections for the consecutive 12th time, Rane said, “Well let me see. If my people want, I will be there.”
Rane declined to react on the ongoing factionalism in the Congress. “I am in touch in my constituency,” he said.
Since 1972, Rane has won Assembly elections for 11 consecutive terms and will complete 50 years as a legislator in March next year.
