As per the circular issued by GBSHSE, Class X and Class XII State board students will have the first language as their first paper.
Sources said the move is aimed at helping students plan their studies and the authorities also want to reduce students’ stress and anxiety over exam dates and timetable.
The board said that the practical examination for HSSC students will be held from February 6, 2017, while SSC students who have opted for NSQF subjects will have practical exams from February 10, 2017, while students who have opted for science/geography will have practical exams from March 1 to 10, 2017 and students who have opted for pre-vocational/CWSN will have practical exams from March 13, 2017.
The last dates for payment of fees for SSC examination is Nov 14, and with late fee is Nov 22, while for HSSC the last date is Nov 9, and with late fee is Nov 16.
The last day for submitting applications in the board office for SSC examinations is as follows: Pernem, Bicholim, Sattari and Bardez is Nov 15, while for Salcete, Canacona, Quepem and Sanguem is Nov 16, Tiswadi and Mormugao is Nov 17 and Ponda and Dharbandora is Nov 18.
The last dates for submitting applications for HSSC examination for North Goa is Nov 10 and South Goa is Nov 11.
