PONDA: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has given a
clean chit to the Class X student who was called to Ranchi, Jharkhand on
September 14, under the suspicion of being involved in anti-India activities.
The student returned to his home at Usgao on Thursday night after being
investigated by NIA officials.
The NIA, with the help of Ponda police, had confiscated the
student’s cell phone and other electrical gadgets back in September after they
found his connection with people involved in anti-national activities.
Originally from Uttar Pradesh, the student’s family has been residing in Usgao
for the past 11 years.
The NIA had also verified the minor’s bank accounts to check
if there was any money transferred to the account from third party. The
Instagram and Telegram account of the student had also been blocked and the teenager
was asked to remain present in Ranchi, Jharkhand on Sept 22.
