PANJIM: The delegation of ‘Mission Political Reservation for Scheduled Tribes of Goa’ who are presently in the national capital submitted a representations at the office of President, Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and the Election Commission of India (ECI), regarding long pending demand of political reservation for the Scheduled tribes (ST) communities of the State.
The delegation also submitted representations to the office of Union Minister for Law and Justice Kiren Jijiju at his official residence in New Delhi.
According to GAKUVED Federation general secretary Rupesh Velip, Dr Solanki has assured the delegation that he will place his report before the Parliament.
The members had met Dr Solanki during his last visit in the State along with other 29 Parliamentary Committee Members and he had instructed the State government to send a proposal regarding political reservation to STs, to the Central government.
