CUNCOLIM: Abhijeet Gaonkar, a Class XII Science student of Damodar Higher Secondary School, Margao, has secured 92.50 percent marks in Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board held recently.
Despite a Schedule Tribe background, Abhijeet, a resident of Ambaulim, has proved his abilities by scoring highest percentage.
He scored cent percent marks in Biology followed by 97 and 93 in Chemistry and Physics respectively. Abhijeet scored 91 marks each in English and Konkani.
His mother is a housewife and his father a C Class employee.
He is also good in sports and has achieved many awards. Currently, he is preparing for NEET examination and wants to take up medicine.
