MARGAO: The Goa Forward Party (GFP) on Sunday said the Goa government employees will curse the government and its leaders for creating more financial troubles for them during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reacting to the Governor’s move of clearing the State’s decision to cancel House Building Allowance Scheme, party spokesperson Durgadas Kamat said, “The Government has shown that it is downright heartless and insensitive towards the government employees of Goa for having cancelled the HBA Scheme.”
Goa Forward Party said, “The Government has gone to a very low level and has mentioned in the ordinance that its decision cannot be challenged or protested in any manner.”
“We knew that the Chief Minister doesn’t have a heart. There are government employees who will have to pay to the government due to the increased EMI for the HBA. What will they feed their families if this is the case,” he asked.
“You should have cancelled the scheme and stopped taking new forms for the allowance. Why have you taken the decision with retrospective effect,” he asked.
Kamat said, “The BJP will not even get 6 seats in the next election and its MLAs have to clear their stand on this”.
