BICHOLIM: Shiv Sena has come down heavily on the government over delay in restarting the mining and stated that the Chief Minister is favouring the mining lobby in this matter.
Addressing a press conference in the city, general secretary, Milind Gawas informed that the Supreme Court has clearly stated that there is no objection in restarting the mining in the State but the government is following delay techniques.
“The Chief Minister is giving false assurances to the people. The Supreme Court has no objection to restart mining in the State it has only asked either to auction or form a corporation and start mining legally. But, the government is not willing to do so and only want to give back mining leases to mining lobby,” Gawas said.
“BJP had stopped mining in the State and now they are also not willing to restart it following the guidelines set by the court,” Gawas said.
The office bearers also came down heavily on the Chief Minister for failing to tackle the issues of the State.
