Start-up policy has proved fruitful for Goan youth: CM

PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday inaugurated the 18th International Entrepreneurship Forum (IEF) Conference at Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto-Panjim. 
The three-day global conference was attended by guests from 18 countries. The event is being held in partnership with Directorate of Higher Education, Government College of Commerce and Economics, Borda-Margao, Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College of Arts and Commerce, Pernem and Bangalanatak dot com. 
It will host number of panel discussions and lecture series on the theme “Art, Technology and Sustainable Entrepreneurial Transformation”. Curators of the conference Prof Jay Mitra from Exxex Business School, University of Exxex-UK; Amitava Bhattacharya of Bangalanatak dot com, Kolkata; Sergio Arzeni and Prasad Lolayekar, Director of Higher Education.
Lauding the theme of the conference, the Chief Minister congratulated the organisers for choosing Goa as the destination for this Conference. 
“Goa State has always boosted budding entrepreneurs. Goa start-up policy has also proved fruitful to many youngsters in the State who chose to be their own boss. Conferences such as IEF will surely venture into different aspects of entrepreneurship. The panel discussions and key note addresses will help one to know the nuances and provide basics for entrepreneurship,” the Chief Minister said.
Earlier, the programme began by watering a plant sapling. Prof Jay and Sergio spoke.  Amitava compered. The conference was attended by teachers and students from colleges in the State.
