PORVORIM: NCP MLA and Chairman of the State Legislative Assembly’s Assurance Committee Churchill Alemao on Monday took on the BJP-led government, over their failure to fulfill the assurances made on the Floor of the House.
Speaking during the Zero Hour mention, Alemao said that the answers tabled by the ministers on the floor of the House are incorrect and misguiding. Also, the assurances given are not committed and implemented in toto.
“I will take on the government very seriously if the assurances are not maintained and fulfilled. Assurances given in the House have to be maintained by the Government. The House has its own sanctity,” he said.
The MLA raised the fear in the minds of people of Benaulim with regards to the technical licences issued by the Department of Town and Country Planning to hotels and big projects in violation of norms and FARs.
