PANJIM: Goa State recorded 67 per cent increase in GST revenue collection of Rs 429 crore in June 2022 as compared to June 2021, which was Rs 256 crore.
However, the GST revenue of June 2002 was Rs 32 crore less as compared to that for May 2022, which stood at Rs 461 crore.
The gross GST revenue collected in June 2022 nationwide was Rs 1,44,616 crore, an increase of 56 per cent year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Finance.
Also the gross GST collection in June 2022 was the second highest collection next to the April 2022 collection of Rs 1,67,640 crore. The GST collection crossed Rs 1.40 lakh crore mark for the fifth time since inception of GST and fourth month at a stretch since March 2022.
