PANJIM: Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho on Thursday said he has urged Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to give Goa a special package of Rs 500 crore for infrastructure building and other developmental works.
Mauvin, on behalf of the Chief Minister attended the pre-budget consultations for Union Budget 2022-23 of Finance Ministers of States and UTs chaired by the Union Finance Minister at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
Mauvin said that Goa being a preferred tourist destination globally, he has asked for the package to revamp the infrastructure in the State to further boost tourism.
