State to auction 140 goods seized

PANJIM: The State Finance Department will be auctioning 140 liquor goods of varying sizes that were seized at the Sanguem Excise Station.

These items were confiscated on 25 different occasions between the period of January 20, 2016 and May 1, 2018. Different types and brands of Cashew Feni, Coconut Feni, Palm Liquor, Whiskey, Rum, Port Wine, Brandy, and Vodka were confiscated during that period with Cashew Feni and Whiskey being amongst the highest items seized.

The auction will take place on December 22 and December 27, 2021.

Only liquor licence vendors will be allowed to participate in the auction. The bid will be final only after the approval by the Commissioner of Excise.
