PANJIM: Just a month after the unveiling Tapoloka Yogkshetra, the statue at the promenade was found damaged on Saturday. The promenade is a crucial element of the ambitious project aimed at restoring and preserving the pristine Mandovi River coastline.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had unveiled the Tapoloka Yogkshetra (Yog Realm) promenade from pedestrian arch bridge near ESG to Children Park on International Yoga Day, under the project of restoration and protection of the Mandovi River coastline from Miramar beach to the Youth Hostel and Kala Academy to the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) Panjim.
The project was executed by Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited and implemented by the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited. The project’s first phase was dedicated to yoga, which emphasises well-being, education and the practice of yoga for individuals and communities at large.
