MARGAO: Additional Director of Panchayats, Jayant Tari, has ordered status quo in the Rachol housing project till the disposal of the appeal filed by the builder.
The Additional Panchayat Director has also given time till July 9 to the gram sabha members of Rachol village panchayat to file their reply to the appeal filed by the builder D S Naik challenging the gram sabha resolution calling for the revocation of the construction license.
At the hearing held here this evening, the Additional Panchayat Director has ordered status quo till the disposal of the appeal petition.
The builder had gone in appeal before the Additional Panchayat Director after the Rachol gram sabha passed a resolution calling upon the Panchayat body to revoke the license.
