Stop politicising my daughters death, Give her justice: Siddhi Naik’s father

There is a new twist to the Siddhi Naik death Case. On Wednesday, Sandip Naik, father of late Siddhi Naik said that he has given clues to the police but the police are not investigating the case properly. He further urged several leaders and people not to politicise his daughters death rather fight and give her justice. Speaking to reporters, Sandip said that he has given all the resources, clues to police but the police are not acting swiftly, looks like they are under pressure, he further said that he is going almost everyday to the police station to follow up his daughter’s death investigation case. Recently he also went with the police to Baga – calangute coastal area to find a clue. 

While on the other hand, Bailancho Ekvott President Auda Veigas has written to Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant how Goans are very upset over the recent death of a young girl Siddhi Naik at Calangute beach due to drowning, especially the women.  She said that she has written to Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant who is also the home minister of Goa to make sure justice is given to siddhi naik, has demanded to form a special police task force into Siddhi Naik’s death case investigation. 

Already the state has seen two major silent candle light protest demanding justice to Siddhi Naik.  To show solidarity to the 19-year-old girl’s family, who was found dead at Calangute Beach, the people from across State held a candlelight procession seeking justice to the victim. The protestors claimed that even a common man can tell whether this is a case of drowning or not after examining the body.  Some even alleged that “This government is blind and deaf and it’s the government authorities who are responsible for the girl’s death. Today, it is this girl, tomorrow it will be someone else who will fall prey, if the people do not raise their voice”..
