PERNEM: The Ordinary gram sabha of Mandrem village panchayat held on Sunday discussed several issues. Due to low quorum, the gram sabha which was scheduled for 10.15 commenced at 10.45 am and was chaired by sarpanch Adv Amit Sawant.
The sarpanch asked the gram sabha members if they have any suggestions to make with regards to development work which they feel needs to be fast tracked. Sarpanch informed that he has already received a list of works to be done in every ward from the concerned panch member.
The sarpanch further informed the gram sabha members that the panchayat is in process of conducting survey of sewerage pipelines released in the rivulet and appealed to the people that if they have released any such pipeline in the rivulet then they should remove it and stop releasing sewerage since after the inspection if anyone is found doing so, strict action will be initiated against them.
The sarpanch informed that the administrative process for Public crematorium and MRF shed is going on at war footing.
