PANJIM: BJP’s Mahila Morcha national president Vijaya Rahatkar has said that government should rethink its decision to allow year-end parties in the State in the wake of crime-related incidents at these parties.
Rahatkar said they aim to enroll 10-crore members into the party in a nationwide membership drive which has already been launched across various states including Goa. Thus far we have enrolled three crore members, she told a press conference, after a meeting with the State Mahila Morcha on Monday. Rahatkar claimed the party has been getting good response from people during her visit to these places. “Ten crore would mean we will be the largest party in the world,” she said. Claiming that BJP is committed to political empowerment of women, Rahatkar underlined that they would remind the government about its commitment to grant 33 percent reservation for women.
