BICHOLIM: A 20-year-old engineering student from Odisha died in a road accident at Mulgao-Bicholim in the wee hours of Monday.
According to reports, Birendra Korni, presently residing at Atilpeth-Bicholim, had gone to Tivim Railway station to drop his father. However, while returning on his motorcycle, he dashed against an oncoming truck (KA-37-1485). Birendra died on the spot. He was a second-year engineering student at Verna. The police conducted the panchanama and handed over the body to his relatives. The truck driver was booked under rash and negligent driving. Police is investigating the case.
