Students of govt, aided colleges to wear uniforms

PANJIM: The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) has directed government and government-aided colleges to mandate uniforms for students starting from the current academic year. As per a DHE circular, the decision will positively impact the educational environment in the colleges, foster a sense of belonging among students, and can lead to a reduction in ‘distractions related to clothing choices’. It aims to bridge the gaps in socio-economic disparities among students by standardising attire, creating an inclusive atmosphere, and preparing students for a professional atmosphere.
