Students seen commuting home in Goods carrier as Balrath employees are on strike

Students and parents from all over the
state are facing hardship in going to school in the absence of school buses, as
the Balrath employees continue their strike demanding a salary increase.
Dropping off and picking up children from their school has become toilsome,
especially to the working parents. As the protestors continued their
protest for a second consecutive day, some parents dropped their kids to the
school while some students chose to walk to their institutes. Some students
were seen hopping onto goods carrier vehicles to reach their respective
schools. Due to the miserable public
transportation and lack of alternative transportation options, many students in
the state’s rural areas continued to remain absent. While, because of the
extreme traffic on the city roads parents from the urban areas opted to drop
off the kids to their schools personally.
