In a notification issued recently, the Education department stated that the equipment supplied will carry one year warranty while maintenance beyond the warranty period shall be the responsibility of the beneficiary.
It also said that the government shall not be liable for any compensation for any illegal use of the equipment or violation of any law provisions by student or user. “Such use shall lead to cancellation of the registration and attachment of the equipment by the Government,” the notification says.
