Sudin arrives after Govind concludes function

PONDA: Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude offered rich tributes to Dr Ram Maohar Lohia, freedom fighters and martyrs for their sacrifice for Goa’s liberati. He was speaking at the Revolutionary day programme, held at Kranti Maidan, Ponda.
Freedom fighters; Ponda MLA, Ravi Naik; PMC CP, Pradeep Naik; councillors; sarpanch and panchas were present.
However, two and a half hours later after the official event concluded, former PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar arrived along with MGP supporters including sarpanchas and ZPs, and they paid floral tributes to the martyrs memorial. Speaking to reporters, Sudin said he had received the official invitation but had skipped it to protest, as it was being held at the hands of a minister who had insulted him during a cabinet meeting in the presence of former CM late (Parrikar) and other ministers.  Later, Gaude brushed aside Sudin’s behaviour and said the Marcaim MLA is frustrated and can’t live without power.
