Sudin Dhavalikar Urges Congress Not to Politicise Smart Meter Rollout Ahead of Elections

Sudin Dhavalikar has stated that the implementation of smart electricity meters has been underway across the country for the last two-and-a-half years and urged the Indian National Congress not to politicise the issue during the election year.

Speaking on the ongoing debate surrounding smart meters, Dhavalikar said the rollout is part of a nationwide initiative aimed at modernising the power distribution system and improving efficiency.

He further remarked that Congress should first consider banning smart meters in states where the party is currently in power before criticising the implementation in Goa.
