GMC Campus to Get Five-Star Upgrade, Says CM Sawant

Goa Medical College (GMC) campus will be developed into a “five-star campus” with upgraded infrastructure, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said. The project will include underground cabling, improved lighting, landscaping and enhanced parking facilities, with the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation tasked with the works. Sawant said efforts will be made to complete the upgrades by March. He was speaking at the inauguration of GMC’s new ₹40-crore Lecture Hall Complex, spread across 5,482 square metres and featuring three halls with a combined capacity of 1,200 students. An additional ₹500 crore was also announced for GMC and allied infrastructure.
