Two MLAs Among Six Injured After Car Crashes Into SUV at Delhi’s ITO

Two MLAs were among six people injured in a serious road accident at the busy ITO intersection in central Delhi on Sunday night, police said.

Kirari MLA Anil Jha and Karnataka MLA Abhay Patel were travelling in an Innova SUV when it was struck by an out-of-control car at around 9.30 pm.

According to police officials, the car driver reportedly lost control after the vehicle’s cylinder burst near the PWD office. The car hit a road divider before crashing through a railing and colliding with the SUV carrying the two legislators.

Six people, including the two MLAs, sustained injuries in the accident. Further details regarding their condition and the circumstances leading to the cylinder burst are awaited.
