PANJIM: MGP’s Ramkrishna (Sudin) Dhavalikar was allotted the power portfolio on Tuesday, as Chief Minister allocated portfolios to the three new ministers who were sworn in on April 9.
Besides Power, Dhavalikar has got New & Renewable Energy and Housing. In the past governments, Dhavalikar had been consistently getting the Public Works Department, which now has been allotted to Nilesh Cabral.
BJP’s Nilkanth Halarnkar has been given Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, while Subhash Phal Desai has got Social Welfare, River Navigation and Archives and Archaeology.
The notification, issued by Personnel Department, further stated that any other department or subject not mentioned in this notification will be looked after by the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
