Sudin unfurls tricolour at R-Day function in Ponda

PONDA: Minister for Transport Ramkrishna alias Sudin Dhavalikar unfurled the national tricolour and reviewed the Guard of Honour presented by the contingent of Goa Police at Kranti Maidan, Ponda on the occasion of 69th Republic Day.
A host of cultural and patriotic activities were organised at the Kranti Maidan on the occasion.
The minister earlier placed a wreath at the Hutatma Smarak. The Guard of honour was commanded by PSI Pritesh Sinari.
On the occasion, the minister extended warm greetings to the people and said, “Our Constitution is one of the ideal constitutions in the world. It’s a day that we remember Dr Ambedkar, as with this Constitution, a new era came into existence.”
 The Constitution has united the people of India and every State government has adhered to its norms and have worked towards development of the country.” 
Dhavalikar said that it’s a day to remember “our freedom fighters, great leaders and learn from their sacrifice. We are Indians first. Unity will lead us towards development.”
