FRRO Goa, Vimal Das Gupta, confirmed that Remo holds a Portuguese passport and has surrendered his Indian passport.
A complaint against Remo was filed by advocate Aires Rodrigues at Agassaim Police on December 18 accusing him of verbally abusing the 17-year-old girl from Malvan who was knocked down at Gurim on December 1 by a speeding car driven by his son Jonah.
According to the complaint, Remo said to the girl, “Why are you alive. You should have died.” Sources at Agassaim police station confirmed that the girl in her statement stated that Remo had abused her at GMC where she is presently undergoing treatment. GMC doctors said the girl will be bedridden for at least three to six months.
Mapusa Police have already registered an offence against Jonah for rash and negligent driving under section 279 and 338 of the IPC.
