Goa Government’s delegation on Mhadei met Goa Chief Minister met Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat who said “Surely the solution to the Mhadei issue will come out soon. The delegation also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and urged him for the early constitution of the Mhadei Water Management Authority.
The Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant along with a delegation will consist of Ministers Vishwajit Rane, Mauvin Godinho, Nilesh Cabral, Subhash Shirodkar, Sudin Dhavalikar and independent MLA Chandrakant Shetye visited Delhi over the Mhadei Issue. Minister Mauvin Godinho said their first demand was to withdraw the NOC given to Karnataka’s DPR. There will be no compromise on Mhadei, Mauvin said.
The Goa Delegation met Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at his residence. “There was an exchange of views regarding water distribution of the Mhadei river, Shekhawat said.
“Surely the solution to the Mhadei issue will come out soon,” Shekhawat added. The delegation also met Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi today and urged him for immediate constitution of the Mhadei Water Management Authority as given in the award and also urged for the withdrawal of the DPR sanctioned by CWC.
