VASCO: The Vasco Police on Tuesday arrested habitual offender Michael Martin (28) for his alleged involvement in the six burglaries reported at Ekta Nagar, Dabolim last week.
Vasco PI Kapil Nayak said that Martin was caught on suspicion during patrolling in Vasco area. He was arrested by the police in the past for thefts cases. The police detained him and brought him to the police station where he failed to give satisfactory answers about his presence in Ekta Nagar, Dabolim.
The police later placed him under arrest under Sections 454 and 380 of IPC. The police suspect Martin’s involvement in some of the house-breaking thefts reported in the Mormugao taluka.
Further investigations are on, the Vasco police said.
