PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Saturday said that the government will commence the work of innovative special projects under ‘Swayampurna Goa’ from June 2021 and ensure that they are commissioned by this December.
Addressing sarpanchas, panchayat members and ‘Swayampurna Mitra’ officers via video conferencing, Sawant asked village panchayats to submit their special project proposals latest by February 28 so that the government can process them and give administrative approval and expenditure sanction to all during the next two months.
Sawant asserted that the work should start from June and the projects commissioned by December end. He also hoped that most of the works would be inaugurated on December 19, on the occasion of the 60th Liberation Day.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the government will give a fund of Rs 50 lakh to panchayats, which submit timely reports and special projects duly certified by ‘Swayampurna Mitra’ officers.
