In a bid to cater to the extra rush during the ensuing summer, South Western Railway (SWR) has decided to run weekly special trains to and from Goa.
The extra trains will ply between Yesvantpur-Tirupati-Yesvantpur (Train No 0697/0698),Vasco-Yesvantpur-Vasco (Train No 0695/0696) and Yesvantpur-Korba-Yesvantpur (Train No 0681/0682).
The Yesvantpur-Tirupati express (Train No 0697) will depart from Yesvantpur at 09.20 am on Fridays commencing from April 3 and arrive at Tirupati at 4 pm, on the same day. The last service from Yesvantpur is on June 26. The Yesvantpur-Vasco weekly express special train (Train No 0695) will depart from Yesvantpur at 9 pm on Saturdays commencing from April 4 and will arrive at Vasco at 11.40 am the next day. The last service from Yesvantpur is May 30. A total of nine special train services would be available for Goa.
Enroute, the weekly express special will arrive/depart at Tumkur at 10.03/10.05 pm, Tiptur at 10.48/10.50 pm, Arsikere at 11/15/11/30 pm, Birur at 11.53/11.55 pm, Davangere at 1-40/ 1-42 am, Harihar at 1-55/1-57 am, Ranibennur at 2.23/2.25 am, Haveri at 2.58/3.00 am, Hubli 4.30/4.40 am, Dharwad at 5.03/05.05 am, Londa at 6.44 am/6.46 am, Castle Rock at 7.25 am/7.45 am, Kulem at 9.30 am/9.40 am, Sanvordem at 10.04 am/10.05 am and Margao at 10.40 am/10.45 am.
