MARGAO: Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao has demanded that the State government take immediate measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 in view of the rise in cases and the detection of Omicron variant in Goa.
Addressing media persons late Tuesday night, Alemao demanded that the government cancel the ongoing Sunburn Festival that has seen a surge of tourists descend into the State
He also called for sealing the borders and increasing the checking and testing at all entry points.
He demanded that the government impose precautionary measures in the interest of the public before it’s too late.
