MAPUSA: Mapusa police have registered a case of molestation against a talathi, working at the mutation cell of Bardez Mamlatdar, at Mapusa.
Mapusa police said that a woman working in a government office in Mapusa has complained that talathi Vishram Nagade molested her when the victim woman and Nagade were proceeding for election duty on a scooter on February 3, at Pedem Sports Complex in Mapusa.
The victim woman and the talathi, reportedly, are residents of Pirna, as such, she requested Nagade to give her lift on his scooter, which he did. When they reached Cansa-Tivim, Nagade requested the victim woman to ride the scooter saying he was feeling sick. First she refused, but later yielding to the pleadings of Nagade, she accepted to ride the vehicle. And when she was riding the scooter, Nagade allegedly began touching her waist and when she asked him take is hands off her waist, he asked her to stop the scooter. Fearing that Nagade was upto something, she rushed to her residence without stopping the scooter midway.
