According to Valpoi police, Sagun Ramesh Kamat Shankhawalkar and his friend Anthony Lopes had gone to enjoy in the heritage river. When Sagun went to click photos of the river, he accidentally slipped and fell into the river. However, Sagun could not be traced as the water in the river was flowing at its peak. Search operations by the police, fire officials and the locals to trace Sagun’s body proved futile. Valpoi police said that search operations to trace Sagun will continue tomorrow.
