Taleigao VP poll on March 22

Taleigao Panchayat election will be held on March 22.
The State Government has issued a notification declaring elections for 11-member Taleigao Panchayat.
Delimitation exercise has been completed wherein Wards II, IV, VI and IX have been reserved for women, Ward X is earmarked for OBC and two other wards have been reserved for ST (Scheduled Tribes).
This is the second election for Taleigao Panchayat since it got back gram panchayat status after it was carved out from then Panjim Municipal Council (PMC).
Taleigao Panchayat has a population close to 18000.
