PERNEM: The issue of water scarcity in both the constituencies of Pernem is aggravating with each passing day.
On Thursday, women from Varkhand panchayat’s Nagzarwada threatened to hold rasta roko if the water supply is not restored within the next two days.
The water supply at Nagzarwada has been irregular for the last fifteen days as there was ongoing work of laying underground cables which have damaged the water pipelines. The locals have claimed that the damaged pipelines have been left unattended without repairs.
