PANJIM: The government has hiked rates of special ferry boat services while retaining the tariff for the trip along Cortalim-Marcaim route following opposition from several quarters.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant recently approved the rates, proposed by the Department of River Navigation. Upon considering objections of the people, the rates of special ferry boat on Cortalim-Marcaim will be Rs 250 per trip, as earlier while the rates of special ferry boats on other routes will be Rs 100 per trip.
