MAPUSA: Anjuna Police arrested one taxi driver for molesting a domestic tourist lady at Anjuna.
According to SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi, the incident occurred on Friday at midnight. The tourist lady, a native of Chennai, landed at Dabolim Airport and boarded a sharing taxi till Anjuna. While the other passengers got down at Panjim, she proceeded to Anjuna. However, while moving out of the taxi, the driver molested her by grabbing her. She immediately freed herself and ran inside the villa. On Saturday, she lodged a complaint at Anjuna Police Station. The police identified the taxi number and driver as Mithun Shrikant Gaur, a native of Gulbarga, Karnataka.
PI Prashal Dessai and PSI Sahil Warang apprehended Mithun and placed him under arrest.
