MARGAO: Tourist taxi operators have come out fully in support of the demand for Dabolim as Goa’s lone international airport.
Leader of Tourist taxi operators Jeorge Fernandes said the tourist taxi operators are vehemently opposed to the construction of a new airport at Mopa. He expressed his fears that tourists landing at Mopa would not visit South Goa because of the fares and demanded its scrapping.
“Since Dabolim is centrally located, the government should forget Mopa airport and concentrate only on improving the facilities at Dabolim airport,” he said, while demanding scrapping of the proposed airport at Mopa.
