PANJIM: The Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department has ‘corrected’ zone of more 49,849 square metres land in the Regional Plan 2021 from orchard, institutional, paddy field, natural cover, etc, to settlement zone using provisions under Section 17(2) of TCP Act.
Plot of land admeasuring an area of 19,600 square metres, surveyed under Survey No 217, sub-division No 1 & 2, of Village Jua, Tiswadi taluka which is earmarked as orchard, plot of land admeasuring an area of 300 square metres, surveyed under Survey No 72, sub-division No. 2-J, of Village Bordem, Bicholim which is earmarked as Orchard zone, plot of land admeasuring an area of 583 square metres, surveyed under Survey No. 40, sub-division No. 1-Q, of Village Maulinguem-South, Bicholim taluka earmarked as Institutional Zone, plot of land admeasuring an area of 305 sqmtr, surveyed under Survey No. 115, sub-division No. 13-D, of Village Sirsaim, Bardez taluka, District North Goa, State of Goa which is earmarked as Paddy Field, plot of land admeasuring an area of 18963 sqmtr, surveyed under Survey No. 82, sub-division No. 0, of Village Candolim, Bardez taluka which is earmarked as Natural Cover, Natural Cover with No Development Slope, plot of land admeasuring an area of 10098 sqmtr, surveyed under Survey No. 97, sub-division No. 1-J, of Village Reis Magos, Bardez taluka earmarked as Natural Cover with No Development Slope as per RPG-2021 have all been corrected as Settlement Zones.
