TCP ‘corrects’ more 13,125 sq mts land as settlement in RP

PANJIM: The Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department has notified ‘correction’ of zone of 13,125 square metres of land from paddy fields and orchard to settlement zone in Regional Plan Goa 2021, using provisions of section 17(2) of TCP Act. 

A plot of land admeasuring an area of 6,850 square metres surveyed under Survey No. 451, sub-division No. 9,10,11,12,13,14 and 15 of Village Curtorim, Salcete which was earmarked as paddy field; plot of land admeasuring an area of 3,988 sqmtr, surveyed under Survey No. 52, sub-division No. 1-A, of Village Tivrem, Ponda earmarked as orchard zone with part area under No Development Slope; land admeasuring an area of 2,287 sqmtr surveyed under Survey No. 20, sub-division No. 1 of Village Murda, Tiswadi taluka, which was earmarked as paddy field as per Regional Plan have all been corrected as settlement zone.

Town planner and 2 deputy town planners transferred: The TCP Department transferred town planner Anand Deshpande to BicholimTalukaoffice with additional charge of headquarters Panjim, while, deputy town planner Sanjay Halornekarwas transferred to TCP Headquarters, Patto-Panjim and Quepem taluka deputy town planner Shivprasad Murariwas given additional charge as GIDC and RERA.
