PANJIM: In order to have complete accuracy, the Department of Town and Country Planning (TCP) has decided to prepare Geographic Information System (GIS) based Outline Development Plans (ODP) and related urban and Regional Plan work.

The Chief Town Planner (Administration) has issued a notice inviting expression of interest (EoI) for the empanelment of a consultant or agency with a specialisation to prepare GIS-based plans.

The department in April suspended the final ODPs of Calangute, Candolim, Arpora-Nagoa and Vasco-da-Gama due to various discrepancies.

In June, the TCP Board decided to redraft the ODPs of Panjim, Kadamba Plateau, Mapusa, Margao and Ponda. The Regional Plan 2021 is currently made applicable to these areas in the absence of ODPs.
