TCP to take a call on large buildings and sub-division of large properties

PANJIM: The Goa government has constituted a five-member committee for the purpose of carrying out scrutiny, verification and examination of proposals received for approval for sub-division of property having an area of 25,000 square metres and above and of building having floor area of 25,000 square metres and above. 

The committee comprises Vertika Dagur, Chief Town Planner (Landuse) as Chairperson, Paresh Gaitonde, Rajeev Sukhthankar and Milind Ramani and members and Town Planner Vinod Kumar Chandra as member Secretary. 

The concerned Planning and Development Authorities(PDA) are expected to forward such proposals to the Chief Town Planner (Planning) for the purpose of placing the same before the TCP Board, who shall consider and decide the same on receipt of necessary recommendation of the committee, before submitting its recommendation to the Government. 

A decision to this effect was taken in the TCP Board meeting held in September this year.

In the same meeting, the TCP Board had decided to consider providing space in multi-family dwelling units for Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), considering the rising number of cases of sudden cardiac and other emergencies in the State.
