PANJIM: The Cyber Crime Cell on Friday arrested an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) teacher from Honda and his student from the plumbing trade for transmitting obscene material through Whatsapp to a woman from Tivim.
The student, who had sent the message, had obtained the SIM card in his friend’s father’s name, and was using it since February 2015. The student is from Pirna Assnora and his friend is from Pissurlem, Sattari. The Cyber Crime Police have attached the mobile phone used to send the obscene message to the lady.
During investigation it was revealed that the plumbing trade teacher is the neighbour of the woman (victim) and they have not been in good terms for the past six years. The student used to work during holidays with his teacher.
Further investigations revealed that the teacher had given the woman’s mobile number to his student and had asked him to harass her. The case is being investigated by Pl cyber crime Rajesh Job.
