PANJIM: Team LegoGoa Axi0m, will be participating in robotics competition ‘First Tech Challenge’ to be held at Balawadi Stadium, Pune, from March 10 to 12. The competition is being organised by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), a non-profit making organisation based in USA.
Each team, comprising a maximum of 15 members from grade VII to XII, has to build and programme a robot.
The teams will compete with each other and the winner will represent India at the international event to be held at Houston, USA. Two teams from each country will be selected to participate at the world event.
Team LegoGoa, comprising 14 team members, is the first team from the State to participate in this event. The team has been sponsored an amount of Rs 2 lakh by the government. The team has built and programmed a robot to take part in the competition. As a part of the fund raising for the competition, the team members of LegoGoa also conducted various workshops on STEM and Robotics for students of Goa.
Team LegoGoa Axi0m along with Team Sigma from Mumbai, the winner of FTC, 2021, also conducted a 3-day workshop at Dona Paula.
