PANJIM: The Crime Branch (CB) has sent its team to Bihar to recover the mobile phones used by Ram Barose, accused in the murder of Vijaya Pagi from Canacona at the secluded spot on January 31.
The 20-year-old labourer was arrested from his rented room near ITI at Mastimol this Sunday. The labourer who was married for two year, police claim has confessed that he gagged the victim with her saree lead to suffocation and death. He then sexually assaulted her twice even as she was dead.
Sources said two mobile phones, probably used by him before the crime, are at his native place in Patna, Bihar. The seized material will be considered among other evidence, the CB sleuths have collected since it took over the investigation from Canacona police earlier this month.
