PONDA: At an urgent meeting held on Wednesday, DySP Nelson Albuquerque and PI Mohan Gaude guided the committee members of temples and masjids on containing/curbing the spread of COVID-19 in Ponda.
The temple and masjid committee members assured all support to the police in containing the spread of the deadly infection.
DySP Albuqueque advised them to perform daily rituals with minimum members.
Later, the Ponda Police team also created awareness on COVID-19 safety norms in Mardol market, Usgao PDA market, PDA and Ponda market and issued challans to the violators.
Meanwhile, Ponda Police finally managed to locate the both the persons, who had escaped after testing positive for COVID at the Sub District Hospital two days ago.
Both of them were referred to the COVID Care Centre at Fatorda.
Two others, who came in contact with them, tested negative.
